The Garden

The garden has been a lot of fun this year. It is our first one, so it is definitely a learning experience. But, it has turned out better than we would have thought. For all you garden lovers, here are some pictures of our stuff.

We had wonderful sugar snap peas that the kids thought were delicious to eat straight out of the garden. They are all dead now...it got too hot for them.
Our carrots have done great. Ella enjoys pulling them from the garden. This picture is from about a month ago. They are much bigger now.
We have about 4 jalepeno peppers ready to be picked. Looking forward to using them in our salsa.
We also have onions, bell peppers, squash and tomatoes. Onions are not ready and the tomatoes are not ripe yet. I am hoping to get to the tomatoes before bugs or something else gets them. Thanks Benefields for the tomato plants. Will share when they are ripe. The squash has been too small up until now, but this yellow one looks great and will soon be picked!

So fun! I'm just about to give up on our garden for the year. The heat has been SO ROUGH!
I'm glad you still have squash and peppers! Do you have pics of the sun flowers?
