An evening at the park

Friday night a week ago, took a picnic dinner out to Brushy Creek Park. It was a beautiful evening! Ella played in the fountains for just a little bit, but still does not like them. She doesn't like water in her face. She played a the park, which of course was a big hit! Then we all walked down to the lake just as the sun was beginning to set. Caleb took a short nap along the way. Ella also stopped to pick flowers for mommy. Hope you like the pictures!

Friends Already

Wow! Hard to get them both smiling and the same time, but I got it here. Ella asked to hold him this morning, so I took the opportunity to take a few pictures. Ella is so kind, gentle and helpful with him already. Today at her morning snack and at lunch she tried to offer Caleb her food and water. I explained to her that he can only eat/drink milk for now, but that it was nice that she was sharing. We pray they will be wonderful friends.

Caleb at almost 2 months!

Caleb is almost 2 months old! He is definitely a blessing and we are very thankful for him. He is a generally happy, sweet baby. He is patient with mommy as she learns to take care of an infant again, since the first go around with Ella was a little rough. And, we are patient with him as he learns to take naps! He smiled at mommy early, at about 3 weeks and has already decided to roll over a few times. He is going to be active and wanting to play and chase after Ella in no time. And as his middle name, Tobin, means, "God is good", for bringing him into our little family. Hopefully, we can raise him up in the Lord well.

Ella at 20 months!

Ella is 20 months old! Time is going so fast and the older she gets the more we want time to slow down. She is such a joy to be around. Ella wakes up each morning with an excitement about the day ahead. She is kind and compassionate and loving. She is thoughtful and really takes pleasure and notices the simple things in life. She loves being outside - going to the park or playing in the backyard with bubbles, in her pool or her swing. Her absolute favorite "toys" are books! She could read all day long! Recently she revealed to us that she knows her colors, shapes and letters and can almost count to 10! Her newest game to play is to hold our hand and go in circles around us saying "circles, circles, circles" over and over again until she gets going so fast she falls in a heap on the ground giggling. Her favorite song is the "Wheels on the Bus", but really singing just about any song will do for Ella. Ella communicates with us so much now...and we think, really propelled because of her signing. Ella has truly welcomed her new little brother Caleb into our family. We know they are going to be wonderful friends!

The First Day!

We finally have created a blog! Why, you may ask? Is it because it seems the thing to do and everyone has one? Or, that we have many things to share or impart to others? We wish, but not really. It is to stay connected to you, our family and friends and especially for you to keep up with our precious little ones - Caleb and Ella! And, it is a great way to do that...instant words and pictures to share to tell the story of them. Hope you enjoy and visit regularly.
