For those interested...
We got ready for the holidays by picking out and decorating our tree.
Jeremy had to go to China on a business trip the first two weeks of December, so the kids and I went up to the Dallas area to visit family for a few days. We had lunch with Grandpa Jim at the Dallas galleria by their really cool play-scape.
Checked out Chuck-E-Cheese for the first time. 
We went to the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine for their annual ice sculptures display. This year was a Grinch theme...it was so cold in there, you had to wear these insulated jackets. It was fun watching the kids try to walk around in them. They had ice slides, which the kids loved. The nativity scene was impressive and beautiful.
Daddy came home from China...look how tired he looks! He came bearing some fun little gifts. We were all so ready and excited to see him...it was the longest he had been gone...2 weeks!
Decorated a gingerbread house...more like ate the decorations for the gingerbread house...
We had a little Christmas here at home with the kids and Jeremy's sister before we went up to Plano for Christmas week. Up in Plano for Christmas, my mom and step-dad did something great for the kids this year. They built a whole stable, and we all got to pretend we were just like Mary and Joseph traveling and looking for a place to stay in Bethlehem. When we got to the stable, a baby Jesus doll was wrapped up, lying in the manager. We had all brought "gifts" for baby Jesus (canned goods), which were given to the church. We read the Christmas story out in the stable and then had a "Happy Birthday Jesus" party.
We even had snow for Christmas day. They kids loved playing in it, building a snowman, learning how to make snowballs and then throwing them in the pool.
My brother is a fireman, so we got to visit him at his fire station while we were up in the Dallas area. We all got to ride in the fire truck and hear the sirens and see the flashing lights. The kids thought it was great!
We also spent some time at my dad and stepmom's. This is the closest we got to a family Christmas picture...Caleb looks quite silly!.jpg)
We were home for New Years. We spent the first day of the new year outside with the kids feeding ducks and visiting the cows.
A few days after New Years, we went to San Antonio to visit Jeremy's extended family. We fed fish in the pond, had an early birthday celebration for Ella, and sang Christmas carols. Wonderful start to 2010!
