Thanksgiving, Carter style!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving at home this year with Jeremy's sister, Trinity, and Jeremy's dad and step-mom who were visiting from Montana.  Other fun included going out to Elgin to cut down our Christmas tree, Homestead Fair in Waco, and gingerbread house-making.

Two Cowboys, A Cowgirl and Bullwinkle

We drove down to San Antonio last Saturday to visit Jeremy's aunt and uncle.  They are always so hospitable and welcoming and we had a great time! They even offered to let the kids ride Bullwinkle.  They loved it, although Caleb's favorite part of the trip was still climbing their wall around their awesome backyard.

Never have the letters been so fun!

A few friends of mine and myself started a preschool co-op for our youngest kiddos this fall.  It is a letter-based curriculum with books, crafts, free play, and a gross/fine motor mix.  We each teach a different week/different letter and host.  It is a lot of fun and motivating...I know I need help getting motivated teaching the third kiddo!  I think the kids are having a blast.  This morning, the first thing I heard from Silas when he woke up was him singing his alphabet.  Here are a few highlights over the past two months.

Ninjas!

Ninjas have taken over our house!  I blame Lego for that....  The boys are really into it right now and decided to be ninjas for Halloween.  I have never bought dress-ups to wear on Halloween before.  I usually wait until the day after and buy them on clearance.  But, this year, I couldn't resist and knew these would get a lot of use!  Here are a few videos of the boys showing off their ninja skills on our new back deck.

School...what, every day?!!!

We are back to school now and this year the kids are starting public school.  This is a big change for us.  We have been doing university model classical Christian the past two years.  They went two days a week, I home-schooled two days a week and they had one day "free" that we filled with lots of fun excursions.  It is a sad change, but we are giving this a fair try.  I miss the kids, but do enjoy the time with Silas and a more relaxed day and opportunity to do more of "my stuff".  I am honestly impressed with the school they are at and they are doing really well so far...we'll just keep praying we are where God wants us to be.
